Christmas 2011

The Guillot family spent Christmas in San Antonio this year with Kyle's family. Even though Kyle and I have had 10 Christmases as a married couple, we had yet to spend one in San Antonio. I think it was a a great year to visit too because Allie was just so excited.

First off it is imporant to note that my girls have a completly warped sense of gift giving in the month of December. Between 2 birthdays and Christmas and lots of other random get togethers in between, it turned into a massive gift opening frenzy. We are thankful that so many wanted to share in the gift giving spirit, and I will tell you Allie LOVES you for it, but when we stepped back into our house from being out of town, Allie ran up to the tree and whispered with a blank stare, Daddy I want to open somethin'. December was a month of near fatal spoiling for these girls.

This was one Allie's favorite gifts she got all month. A bag full of bandaids and, not 1 but 2, loud singing Christmas characters! Thanks Aunt Linda! And we are about halfway through the bandaids.

Also, not to get off track but Allie got an email from Santa that she really enjoyed alot. There are two options, either your child is naughty or nice. I wish there was an option C that says something like, Allie your an awesome kid but your really not living up to your potential this holiday season.

Here is the loot. Allie got a lovely plastic vanity complete with a set of fine plastic hair tools from Mimi. Her stocking had all sorts of makeup and princess tattoos and she got some very high end velour princess slippers. I am a real believer in teaching your daughters its what's on the inside that counts you know?? And then she got a VTech MobiGo which is a fun little handheld game for kids her age with a few games and accessories to go along with it. Don't call it a MobiGo though because she calls it her iPad. No need to ruin that for us ok?

Emmy got tons of fun toys from Lakeshore. It is hard to think of things for her because we already have TONS of early toddler toys but I think we did well. She got a set of sensory blocks and magnet maze and some neat puzzles and fine motor games. Basically Allie would claim all these as her own thought too so MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALLIE!

Allie coming around the corner.

Emmy and Kyle.

Emmy stole the leftover Santa cookies while I was not watching.

Shot I took of the whole family opening gifts.

Allie LOVES her MobiGo, I mean iPad, so much. She played on it all day and still uses it daily. I think it will come in handy on car trips and dr visits and things like that.

Emmy LOVES this empty box we kept stuffing bits of wrapping paper in. Who needs toys when you have trash?

Allie sat and brushed her teeth at her new vanity.

We watched alot of Grinch that day. Allie also loves that Grinch.

Papa really wanted a picture of all the grandkids together for his office. That went well.

Allie was really happy to cheese it up for the camera after her daddy took her upstairs for an "attitude adjustment".

Allie really got in the holiday spirit later that night while we watched The REAL Grinch on tv.

Emmy as well.

Kyle and his dad.

And finally, one good shot for Papa!

Merry Christmas everyone!
