First one was for Kyle's work. His company is in Atlanta so it makes for an interesting commute. Fortunately, he does not work there all the time and they have been great to let us stay here for the time being. I was excited to get to go to Atlanta because a) I am a huge fan of their Real Housewives franchise, b) it was nice to see where Kyle spends a lot of time and c) Allie and Emmy stayed in Texas.
We had so much fun. The party was great and as one of the wives said, "it was like reading the book and then seeing the movie." We had a great dinner with his colleagues and then had the entire next day to cruise around town, eat out with out our kids and enjoy SEC life. Listen ladies, now that the Ags are in the SEC we really need to step up our game in the clothing department. Maroon Out shirts will not cut it. These ladies are put together and the SEC championship was in ATL while we were there and the theme of the weekend was riding boots and skinny jeans. I caved in to peer pressure and bought a new pair of boots while I was there.
Here are the few pics I took. View of downtown from our beautiful hotel. I can accept that Kyle will spend many nights in a hotel when I always have a fantastic cheese plate and bottle of wine waiting for me in my room when I arrive. Thanks Marriott!
This is Buckhead which is where we stayed. Lots action going on here. It kept us very busy.
I really wanted to go to Richard Blais' (of Top Chef) restaurant, Flip Burger Bistro. Sweet potato tatertots with marshmallow foam? Yes please! Loved it. Wish we had saved room for a liquid nitrogen Nutella milkshake.
I really loved visiting Atlanta. It was a fun getaway for Kyle and I.
Then there was Allie's school Christmas party.
I missed Allie's Christmas party and program last year because it fell on the same day that I came home from the hospital with Emmy. There was just no way I could make it so I was so happy to go this year. She loves music and preforming so I knew she would be so excited to have us come visit her at school. Aunt Linda came too and cheered her on. It was really special!
Nolan and Allie had the same program. It was so fun to see them both!
Emmy just crawled all over the place. 90% of my day, this is what I see!
Here is a video of Allie and Nolan singing away in a manger. My video camera card filled up quickly so I did not get the whole program. I was so happy I got to see Allie sing her most requested song "Jesus in Belly Button" and I finally figured out her favorite song she listed in her interview which is a Wiggles song "Bear is Now Sleep."
