This year we started a new family tradition on having an Elf on the Shelf.
I spent a lot of time researching the Elf and have gotten really excited about all the possibilities. I mean, I can force my children to mind me because they are intimidated by the Elf and his magical powers and the threat of not receiving Christmas gifts!?!?!? SIGN ME UP!
The Elf sang the doorbell and arrived promptly after Thanksgiving dinner. He was given the name "Cap'n Hook" by Allie. She really loves those bad guys...
Day 1.
Allie has a monumental breakdown. I like to compare it to the Nordstrom Rack meltdown of '11 where I had to drag her out to the car kicking and screaming and I was near tears.
Cap'n left a nice little reminder to Allie.
And when you ask her what the note said she will say, "the tree looks gooood!" Thats all. No other mentions on improving behavior or anything.
The good news is that today was a much better day. Allie was fun! Hallelujah! But look what she has to find that sneaky Elf doing tomorrow....
Pink mulk-a-mulk.
